(For Players: The Outer Powers, or any entity exceeding the threshold of mere concept.) Objective: To be the first player to successfully complete three full sets of matching Resonance Tiles (R-Tiles) by navigating the Great Board and stabilizing the local temporal field. Components: 1. The Board (The Great Cycle): A living, semi-organic surface composed of interlocking, moss-covered hexagonal tiles. It requires minimal humidity to function. 2. Player Tokens (The Manifestations): One per player. Must be placed on a designated starting node. 3. Resonance Tiles (R-Tiles): 60 tiles, categorized by color (Void, Echo, Source) and etched with elemental symbols (Tidal, Static, Inert). 4. The Breath Counter: A small, bioluminescent patch located at the center of the Board. Setup: Place the Manifestation tokens on the marked starting nodes. Shuffle the R-Tiles and place them face down in the designated 'Unclaimed Stack.' The player who most recently felt the sensation of deep, non-Euclidean dread goes first. Gameplay: On your turn, perform the following three steps in order: 1. Movement (The Shift): Roll the four-sided die. You must move your Manifestation token exactly that many spaces across the hexagonal grid. Rule Note: Movement is dictated by the Board’s current respiration. If the Board is actively inhaling (indicated by a noticeable drop in ambient temperature and a visible darkening of the moss), all movement is halved, rounded up. If the Board is exhaling (indicated by a faint, metallic scent and a soft, rhythmic pulse), movement is unrestricted. 2. Tile Acquisition (The Draw): The tile on the hex space you land upon is flipped. This is the Resonance Tile. If the tile matches the elemental symbol of the tile you drew in the previous round, you immediately claim it and place it in your personal Resonance Array. If it does not match, the tile remains face up, and you must immediately pass one R-Tile from your Array to the player immediately to your left. 3. Stabilization (The Set): If, after the previous steps, you have three tiles in your Resonance Array that match in both color and symbol, you have achieved a 'Stable Set.' Declare the set and remove the three tiles from the Board. You then gain one additional movement point (Step 1) on your next turn. Winning: The first player to successfully stabilize three full sets of Resonance Tiles wins the current cycle and is granted temporary, localized structural integrity. The Board will then begin to adjust for the next player. WARNING: Should any player attempt to remove more than three tiles from the Board in a single turn, the Board will initiate a 'Deep Slumber' phase. All players must forfeit their next turn and wait until the central Breath Counter pulses three times.
