Why DriftBot starts with scrutiny, not vibes
The first version is intentionally narrow: a public trust index for OpenClaw skills, plus a minimal editorial lane for the ecosystem.
The point of DriftBot is not to be a prettier registry mirror.
It exists to answer the question people actually have before they install a skill:
Should I be cautious? Why?
That is why the first version focuses on:
- public skill pages
- explainable scorecards
- env, network, shell, and high-risk signals
- manual review notes where human judgment matters
- ranking and filtering that help people decide quickly
A second lane exists for editorial content because the ecosystem also needs interpretation: reviews, news, warnings, and comparisons. But content should stay in its lane.
Trust data, manual reviews, and editorial writing are related โ not the same thing.
